Mat
10:16-23 16 “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves.
Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. 17 But beware of men, for
they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. 18
You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to
them and to the Gentiles. 19 But when they deliver you up, do not worry about
how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you
should speak; 20 for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who
speaks in you. 21 “Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father
his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put
to death. 22 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who
endures to the end will be saved. 23 When they persecute you in this city
[Jerusalem], flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have
gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

Mat
16:27-28 27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with
His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. 28 Assuredly,
I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till
they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”

Mat 26:64
63 But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, “I put
You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of
God!” 64 Jesus said to him “It is as you said, I say to you, hereafter you will
see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the
clouds of heaven.”

John
21:20-23 20 Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved
following, who also had leaned on His breast at the supper, and said, “Lord,
who is the one who betrays You?” 21 Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, “But
Lord, what about this man?” 22 Jesus said to him, “If I will that he [John]
remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.” 23 Then this saying
went out among the brethren that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not
say to him that he would not die, but, “If I will that he remain till I come,
what is that to you?”

Acts
2:1-4; 14-21 1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with
one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a
rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3
Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each
of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak
with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. 14 But Peter, standing
up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all
who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. 15 For
these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the
day. 16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17 ‘ And it shall come
to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all
flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see
visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. 18 And on My menservants and on My
maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood
and fire and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the
moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD. 21
And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be
saved.’ (Quote from Joel 2:28-32)

5:7-8 Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how
the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it
until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish
your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

1 Jn
2:18-19 18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have
heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by
which we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were
not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but
they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

Matthew 24
Jesus Predicts the Destruction of the Temple1 Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age
3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” 4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
The Great Tribulation
15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. 23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand. 26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.
The Coming of the Son of Man
29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.
